Tinea faciei is a fungal infection (ringworm) of the skin on the face.
It presents as red, scaly, itchy patches that often develop raised, active borders and may worsen with sun exposure.
Transmission: Frequently caught from animals (dogs, cats, ) or autoinoculation from another part of your own body
It is frequently misdiagnosed as contact dermatitis, eczema, or lupus because it may not always present as a perfect 'ring'.
