Atopic Dermatitis is a common, chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin disease in children, affecting up to 30% of children, with 60% developing symptoms in their first year. It causes dry, itchy, red patches, often on the face and scalp in infants and flexural surfaces (elbows/knees) in older children.
