DPNs are Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra, ----which are benign, small, dark brown or black bumps or growths on the skin, commonly found on the face and neck but also on the chest and back, appearing after adolescence. They are a harmless, purely cosmetic concern that can increase with age but can be removed by a dermatologist if desired, often through minor surgical procedures.
