An oral mucocele-----
is a painless, fluid-filled cyst that appears in the mouth. It's also known as a mucous cyst.
Symptoms
A soft, smooth, spherical, translucent, and fluctuant nodule
Usually appears on the inner part of the lower lip, inner cheeks, tongue, gums, and the floor of the mouth
Can be clear or blue in color
Causes
Minor trauma, such as biting your lip
Damage or blockage of a salivary gland
Treatment
Surgical removal of the cyst using laser or minimally invasive techniques
